Sony's full-frame lens with the widest telephoto range to date, the new FE 70-300mm F4.5 - 5.6 G OSS (SEL70300G), features an improved optical design with four aspherical lenses, two ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass elements and Sony's Nano AR coating. All these elements together effectively suppress spherical aberration, distortion and chromatic aberration. These ensure the highest level of resolution in still photography and
video recording. The new telephoto zoom Lens also offers top-notch close-up performance
with a minimum focusing distance of less than 0.9m and a maximum magnification of 0.31, making it the
ideal choice for telemacro photography. This outstanding close-up performance also translates into excellent sharpness from the center of the frame to the edge of the camera.
The versatile zoom lens guarantees blur-free shots at all focal lengths thanks to its built-in image stabilizer (OSS). In addition, the new SEL70300G features a linear actuator that provides fast, clear and quiet autofocusing, and is also dust and moisture resistant1 to ensure reliable operation in harsh outdoor conditions.
