Dirk Mann is a horticultural scientist and professional plant hunter. He has been working as a garden photographer and botanical journalist for around 20 years. His 3000 square meter outdoor studio is a photo nursery in the Müglitz Valley near Dresden, where he grows and cultivates many thousands of different plants every year and stages them photographically in themed gardens. Garden photography is his personal self-realization and combines down-to-earth gardening with the world of artistic media.
