Leofoto BV-10 Fluid Video Head
A high-performance, high-quality fluid video head for the demanding professional among videographers. Considering its dimensions of 330 x 130 x 95 mm (l x w x h, including pan bar), it can be described as very light, weighing only 760 g - especially considering its enormous qualities. Maximum strength is given to it by material and manufacturing method: No ordinary aluminum, but lightweight but extremely resilient aircraft aluminum on the one hand and computer numerical control (CNC) production on the other. The result is workpieces that are accurate to fractions of a millimeter and are highly durable.

The BV-10 fluid video head is equipped with a 60 mm hemisphere.
It can support 8 kg of load with 4 kg of weight compensation. This makes it ideally suited for some of the top video and digital SLR cameras on the world market. It goes without saying that this video head has two built-in spirit levels. It also goes without saying that the Leofoto BV-10 moves absolutely smoothly and without jerks thanks to fluid technology.

The front tilt covers the range from -75° to +90°, and the panorama pan naturally circles the full 360°. Just as expected, the large knob provides smoothly gliding but highly precise friction control that grips firmly. On the long quick-release plate (with two screws), it is not at all difficult to align the camera quickly, securely and optimally. And with the long, hand-friendly wrapped pan bar, balanced, smoothly flowing subject tracking becomes an easy exercise.

The head "bedded" on fluid technology moves wonderfully smoothly and without the slightest jerk.
Counterbalance is just as much a part of the performance features as a professional quick-release plate with two tripod screws and two spirit levels at once. The front tilt ranges from -75° to +90°, and the panoramic pan covers a full 360°.

The knob for adjusting the friction is pleasantly large, allowing it to be set and controlled very precisely. The slim double-tube legs of the Leofoto video tripods look very delicate. But they are strong and can easily support the weights for which they are each designed. After all, they are not simply made of aluminum. Rather, it is a particularly robust alloy. On the one hand, it is very hard, but on the other hand, it also has an unusually high, so-called elongation at break. It is not for nothing that this extra-strong aluminum alloy comes from aircraft construction, where the material has to withstand the highest stresses.

Secure fasteners hold the legs in position. The foot construction provides reliable grip on a wide variety of surfaces, whether smooth or uneven. Removing the rubber overshoes reveals sturdy stainless steel spikes.
