Developed for videography and photography
With the SAMYANG 12/2.2 Video DSLR, you are optimally equipped for both video and photography without having to make time-consuming changes to your camera. The aperture can be infinitely adjusted, minimizing exposure transitions. The aperture ring and focus ring are equipped with a gear ring and are therefore optimized for use with follow focus systems.

Ideal for landscape, architecture, art and nude photography
The SAMYANG 12/2.2 Video DSLR with a focal length of 12 mm is ideal for expressive landscape, architecture, art and nude photography thanks to its wide angle of view. The high speed enables a very good exposure time for optimum shots even in unfavorable lighting conditions. The focus and aperture are set manually. The closest focusing distance is 20 cm. Lens for system cameras!

Outstanding image quality thanks to multi-coated lens surfaces and Nano Coating
Great importance was attached to an optimum lens design for excellent imaging performance. All 12 glass lenses are multi-coated, which prevents reflections and therefore provides the image with more light. The coating also achieves better contrast and more brilliant color rendition. The reduction of reflections is also supported by a nano coating. Two of the 12 lenses are aspherical and thus ensure optimum correction of spherical image errors. In addition, one lens is made of ED glass (extra low dispersion), which also optimally corrects chromatic aberrations.
The wide-angle lens is made for system cameras and impresses with its extremely low weight and compact design. At the same time, the metal housing is very robust despite its light weight.

Using an APS-C lens on a camera with a full-frame sensor
Lens developed for cameras with an APS-C sensor can sometimes be used on cameras with a full-frame sensor (mainly using an adapter). However, due to the significantly smaller image circle of APS-C Lens, the edges will be black. The usable area of the image photographed with a full-frame camera therefore corresponds to that of a camera with an APS-C sensor. The images must therefore be cropped in post-processing. The use of APS-C Lens on full-frame cameras is possible, but not recommended.
