The SmallRig cage for the Shinobi monitor recorder was designed as an external support structure. It is equipped with a variety of mounting points. The cage attaches to the top and bottom of the monitor with two 1/4"-20 screws . The cage has multiple 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threaded sockets on all sides as well as the back, providing ultimate flexibility in accessory mounting options.

ARRI mounting points are located on all sides. There are also NATO rails on the top and bottom for SmallRig accessories. The cage includes an HDMI cable clamp for various Atomos cables to protect the HDMI connector. The cage has raised mounting points at the top and bottom for a neck strap and to accommodate the Atomos Ninja V sun visor.
