Compact and lightweight super-telezoom:
M.Zuiko Digital ED 100-400mm F5.0-6.3 IS
The M.Zuiko Digital ED 100-400mm F5.0-6.3 IS is the perfect complement for mobile OM-D and PEN photographers. It boasts the weather-sealed features of the successful M.Zuiko PRO series, while being amazingly compact and lightweight - with a focal length of 200-800mm. This impressive performance can be doubled to 1,600 mm with the M.Zuiko Digital 2x Teleconverter MC-20.

Compared to other camera systems, Olympus cameras and M.Zuiko Lenses are often half the size and weight, making them a real alternative for mobile photographers. The combination of high-resolution, high-performance Lenses with the world's best image stabilization enables high-quality photos and videos in almost any situation. With its impressive focal length in a compact format, the new M.Zuiko Digital ED 100-400mm F5.0-6.3 IS is perfect for OM-D and PEN photographers on the go.

Super-telezoom lens with a focal length of 1600mm combined with the optional 2x teleconverter
The M.Zuiko Digital ED 100-400mm F5.0-6.3 IS has a focal length equivalent to a 200-800mm lens in 35mm format. With the M.Zuiko Digital 1.4x Teleconverter MC-14, this can be extended up to 1,120 mm and even doubled to 1,600 mm with the 2x Teleconverter MC-20. This makes it possible to zoom in close on distant or hard-to-reach subjects, such as shy birds, and achieve impressive shots that are unique for such a super telephoto lens. The closest focusing distance over the entire zoom range is 1.3m and the maximum image magnification is 0.57x, enabling excellent telemacro performance when shooting small subjects such as insects and flowers. Focus Stacking** is also supported. This function captures multiple shots at different focus positions and automatically stitches them together to create a photo with a large depth of field.

Exceptional imaging performance throughout the zoom range and reliable dust- and splash-proof body
The optical system consists of a combination of four ED (Extra-low Dispersion) lenses to suppress chromatic aberration, two Super-HR (Super High Refractive Index) lenses, and two HR (High Refractive Index) lenses for bright, clear imaging performance to the edges of the frame throughout the zoom range. ZERO (Zuiko Extra-low Reflection Optical) coating reduces ghosting and flare even in poor conditions such as backlighting. Dust, splash and freeze protection from the M.Zuiko PRO series: effective hermetic sealing of the entire lens barrel makes the new model completely reliable, even in harsh environments.

Focus Limiter and Image Stabilization in the Lens
The internal focusing of the M.Zuiko Digital ED 100-400mm F5.0-6.3 IS enables fast, high-precision AF thanks to lightweight focusing lenses. This Lens is also equipped with a focus switch for quick switching between MF and AF, as well as a Focus Limiter. The latter allows the AF working range to be selected from three levels for easy modification, depending on the subject distance. In addition, the Image Stabilization in the Lens guarantees compensation of up to 3 EV steps***, ideal for handheld long focal length shooting.

Accessories
The M.Zuiko Digital ED 100-400mm F5.0-6.3 IS is part of a wide range of M.Zuiko Lenses and is compatible with OM-D and Olympus PEN as well as all cameras based on the Micro Four Thirds standard. It is compatible with the PRF-ZD72 PRO protective filter and the Olympus DR-79 decorative ring. The included LH-76D lens hood can be attached to the M.Zuiko Digital ED 100-400mm F5.0-6.3 IS and the M.Zuiko Digital ED 40-150mm F2.8 PRO.
