FUJIFILM expands the lens range for the X series with the standard macro lens FUJINON XF30mm F2.8 R LM WR Macro. The new lens joins the award-winning camera system, which is highly regarded for its outstanding image quality, compact design and unmatched color reproduction.
The XF30mm F2.8 R LM WR Macro is a standard lens with a focal length of 30mm (equivalent to 46mm KB). It is the ideal choice for shooting that matches the normal viewing impression of the human eye. Compared to other Lenses in this class, it stands out for its low closest focusing distance: The minimum distance to the subject is only 10 cm*1, so that the largest possible reproduction scale of 1:1 is achieved.
The XF30mm F2.8 allows photography at close range and guarantees maximum creative freedom. The lightweight and compact design inspires creativity and ensures carefree photography in everyday life.
High image quality and natural depth effect
The optical construction consists of eleven elements in nine groups. Three aspherical elements and two ED lenses guarantee high resolving power and minimize aberrations such as image field curvature, chromatic aberration and sharpness aberration (chromatic and spherical aberration). The focal length of 30 mm (equivalent to 46 mm KB) resembles the normal viewing impression of the human eye, making the lens the first choice for natural-looking portraits and snapshots.
1:1 macro imaging
The shortest shooting distance of only 10 cm, combined with the APS-C sensor, enables 1:1 imaging. Unlike conventional standard lenses, the XF30mmF2.8 thus offers more creative possibilities and is the ideal choice for expressive close-up shots of people or for object photography in situations with limited freedom of movement.
Fast and precise autofocus
Focusing is fast and precise via internal focusing. A linear motor moves the compact and lightweight focus unit to the correct position in just 0.02 seconds*2. Although a relatively large number of optical elements have to be moved, this does not adversely affect the length of the XF30mm F2.8. Due to the optimal arrangement of the lenses and a special shaping of the aspherical elements, the Lens is only 69.5 mm long, making it exceptionally compact. The filter size of 43 mm also underscores the handiness of the XF30mmF2.8.
Lightweight and robust body
The design of the Lens has been optimized in terms of weight. While metal controls contribute to the elegant appearance of the XF30mm F2.8, the mechanism of the Lens uses fewer and, more importantly, lighter components overall. Splash-proof and dust-proof
